Eating is a comforting outlet for many people that soothes the discomfort of not being who they really are and not living the life they really want.  As you allow yourself to come into your natural design, you will find that not only is your physical transformation comfortable it is also effortless.  You will experience so much joy from becoming that which you are meant to be that you will never go back to what you were.

The 3 Step Plan

  1. 1.Identify where you are now.

  2. 2.Identify where you want to go.

  3. 3.Follow the detailed directions that lead from here to there...

The Detailed Directions!
“Do a you-ey!”

The goal of your food intake is to do the following:

  1. 1.Make you feel satisfied and happy. You must like what you are eating.  If you are feeling deprived - shift your focus and make something you like to eat!  Take the time and effort to create meals that make you happy!  Learn new recipes.  Make a healthy version of the “old” food that you are craving.

  1. 2.Keep the pH of your urine at a 7 or slightly higher.  Drink 1 quart of water for every 40lbs of body weight.

  2. 3.Eat 80% non-starchy vegetables at every meal.  This is way more than you think and oh so important!  Use raw cultured vegetables, seaweed salads, and vegetable soups to get your 80%.  These foods should be prepared ahead of time so that they can be easily accessed when you go to eat. Use a green drink, like pro-greens, several times per day. Snack on soaked almonds.

  3. 4.Keep your blood sugar balanced. Eat 6 small low glycemic and balanced meals per day.

  4. 5.Have your protein to starchy carbohydrate ratio tested by a
Universal Health Method doctor. This ratio will change as your body heals and transforms. The higher the glycemic load or index of the carbohydrate you are eating, the more protein is required to keep the insulin from spiking too high. You cannot easily lose weight when you are having insulin surges.  If you get sleepy after you eat, reduce your starchy carbohydrate.  You should never get sleepy after a meal or feel light headed, weak, or low energy in between meals.  If you do not know what your current protein to carbohydrate ratio is start with 45% protein and 55% carbohydrate.

  5. 4.Provide all of the calories and nutrition that your body requires.

  6. 5.Eat organic.

  7. 6.Eat a “healthy fat” at every meal.  Use healthy fats such as flax, borage oil, olive oil, evening primrose oil, hemp oil, and coconut oil for dressings and condiments.  Make sure to get a good variety and not just rely on one or two.

  8. 7.Avoid ingesting:
Sugar, Caffeine, Alcohol, & Wheat (manna bread is ok for most people), exclude anything you are sensitive to (this can change over time as the body heals, but can include soy, corn, dairy, night shades, etc..)  Ask your Universal Health Method doctor if you are not sure.
